On April 20, 2023, at 11 a.m. Astana time, Ir. Muhammad Taufiq Fathaddin, PhD, IPU, a lecturer in the Master of Petroleum Engineering Study Program, attended the thesis defense of a Petroleum Engineering Master’s Program student at the School of Mining and Geosciences, Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan as an external examiner. In the defense, a student named Timur Tasmukhanov defended his thesis entitled “Numerical Investigation of Nanoparticle-based Breakers Suitable for Removing Synthetic Filter Cakes”. The defense was also attended by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Sonny Irawan, PhD as a supervisor, Prof. Peyman Pourafshary, PhD as an internal examiner who is also the Chair of the Graduate Program Committee, and Marzhan Baigaliyeva, PhD as the Graduate Program Committee.
