In order to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Trisakti University, the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI) in collaboration with Trisakti University held the “MPR RI Goes to Campus” activity with the theme “The Urgency of Energy Transition to Prevent the Impact of Climate Change”, which took place at the Auditorium of Building D, 8th Floor, Campus A, Tuesday (3/6).
The event featured Dr. Eddy Soeparno, S.H., M.H., Deputy Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI), who delivered a presentation on the Four Pillars of the MPR RI and highlighted the importance of the energy transition in driving high and sustainable economic growth. In his presentation, he emphasized the need for active university involvement in providing research-based policy proposals and emphasized the MPR RI’s readiness to facilitate the role of academics in policy, legislation, and oversight.
Also present as a resource person was Pri Agung Rakhmanto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., a permanent lecturer in the Master of Petroleum Engineering Program at FTKE, who presented material entitled “Notes of Indonesia’s Energy Mix and Transition” and highlighted the challenges and strategic direction of the national energy mix in the future.
The event was moderated by Dr. Ir. Edy Jamal Tuheteru, S.T., M.T., and officially opened by the Rector of Trisakti University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, and the Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Energy Technology, Dr. Ir. Suryo Prakoso, S.T., M.T.
Through this activity, the MPR RI and Trisakti University encourage strategic collaboration between the government and campuses to strengthen national energy security and create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future.
