Remarks by the Head of the Master of Petroleum Engineering Study Program, Prof. Ir. Muh. Taufiq Fathaddin, M.S., Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN Eng.

The Master of Petroleum Engineering Program, Faculty of Earth and Energy Technology, Trisakti University, successfully held a socialization event for prospective new students for the even semester of 2024-2025.

This event was a strategic first step in introducing the postgraduate program to prospective students and fostering positive communication between the academic community and new students.

Purpose of the Socialization

This socialization activity aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the vision, mission, and development direction of the Master of Petroleum Engineering Study Program at the Faculty of Earth and Energy Technology, Trisakti University. Furthermore, this event serves as a platform to introduce the academic environment, teaching faculty, and the learning processes students will encounter during their studies.

The Presence of Lecturers and Strengthening Academic Connections

The event was attended by the Head of the Master of Petroleum Engineering Study Program, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Taufiq Fathaddin, M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng.; the Secretary of the Master of Petroleum Engineering Study Program, Dr. Ir. Rini Setiati, M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng.; the Dean of the Faculty of Geotechnical and Energy Engineering, Dr. Ir. Suryo Prakoso, S.T., M.T.; and experienced lecturers, namely :

The presence of these lecturers not only introduces the teaching profiles, but also demonstrates the study program’s commitment to guiding students professionally and academically.

Hybrid Implementation: Reaching Students from Various Regions

The socialization program was conducted in a hybrid format, with prospective students attending in person (offline) and participating in activities online. This concept reflects the flexibility of the Master of Petroleum Engineering Study Program in adapting to the needs of the times and ensuring participant convenience.

Materials Presented

The series of activities covers a variety of important materials, including :

• Presentation of the study program’s vision and mission.
• Introduction of the teaching staff.
• Explanation of the research and community service roadmap.
• Socialization of the academic process and lecture system. Introductory session for prospective new students.

Active and Enthusiastic Interaction

The event took place in an interactive atmosphere. High enthusiasm was evident in the discussions and Q&A sessions between prospective students and lecturers. This demonstrated the students’ strong interest and readiness to actively contribute to a dynamic academic environment.

Hope for the Future

Through this activity, the Master of Petroleum Engineering Study Program at Trisakti University hopes that prospective students will gain a more comprehensive understanding of the study program they will undertake.

It is also hoped that this enthusiasm, fostered from the outset, will serve as a strong foundation for their academic journey toward a Master’s degree.
